in Action Service Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->St, Genevieve-St. Maurice Parish\u2019s 2nd annual Mercy in Action Day is <strong>Saturday, October 20, 2018 in the Activities Center. <\/strong>Sponsored by Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan (CCSEM), the event involves parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Detroit organizing service projects to help their local communities.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the St. Genevieve-St. Maurice community will be helping a non-profit agency in Wayne County dedicated to eliminating both domestic and sexual violence and providing comprehensive services to individuals and families impacted by these crimes.<\/p>\n<p>Our project will consist of gathering and sorting donated bulk items listed below and filling Blessing Bags with items of comfort and encouragement.<\/p>\n<p>We will need volunteers <strong>12 years old and older<\/strong> to arrive at the Activities Center between <strong>8:00 and 8:30 am, and we should be\u00a0<\/strong><strong>done by 11:30am. <\/strong>(Youth under 18 must have an adult 18 or older volunteering with them and sign a \u201cResponsible Adult Statement.\u201d) This is a great
