Because Jesus is God\u2019s Son, we call her the Mother of God.<\/p>\n<p>Mary said a brave and loving \u201cYes!\u201d to God\u2019s plan, which made the first Christmas possible. God kept her heart perfectly pure from the start, which is why she is so special.<\/p>\n<p>Mary is now in heaven, close to Jesus, and she is our spiritual mother too. We honor her and ask her to pray for us, knowing she always brings our prayers straight to her Son, Jesus. She is a wonderful example of trusting God completely.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reflection: What\u2019s Your \u201cYes\u201d?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li><strong>Being Brave:<\/strong> The angel asked Mary to do something really big. When is it hard for you to say \u201cyes\u201d to doing the right thing (like sharing a toy, listening to a grown\u2011up, or helping with a chore)?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Saying \u201cYes\u201d to God:<\/strong> When we are kind, helpful, and loving, that is our way of saying \u201cYes\u201d to God. What is one way you can say \u201cYes\u201d to God today? (Examples: Being nice to your sister or brother, cleaning your room, praying for a friend.)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mary Can Help:<\/strong> We can ask God for help to say \u201cYes\u201d to him. When you need help being good, you can ask Mary to pray to Jesus for you.
