I am happy to report that we have already raised $2693. These contributions will help our parish pay its annual per-priests assessment and remedy the estimated $16.6 million shortfall in the Priests\u2019 Retirement Fund.<\/h4>\n<h4>The Priests\u2019 Retirement Fund pays monthly pensions and insurance costs for retired priests in the Archdiocese of Detroit. Diocesan priests live independently during their senior years, and they use their pension for basic needs, such as food, housing, and transportation.<\/h4>\n<h4>If you have already made a gift to the With Thanks for their Service in Christ collection, please know how much I truly appreciate your support.<\/h4>\n<h4><strong> If you have not completed and returned the envelope you received at Mass last weekend, you may leave contributions in the collection basket at Mass or they may be brought to the Rectory.<\/strong><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last weekend, our parish took up a special collection to support our Priests\u2019 Retirement Fund.
