Deacon Breen was our Pastoral Associate and Deacon. Continuing his diaconal ministry\u00a0among us on weekends, we found ourselves seeking weekday assistance: a Pastoral Assistant: a person of faith,\u00a0trust, love of God and the Catholic Church, grounded in our faith, educated in the Catholic spiritual life, a person of\u00a0prayer dedicated to the spiritual well-being of our parish in the many areas that arise every day.<\/h4>\n<h4>Although a Pastoral Assistant cannot celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism or Matrimony, our Pastoral Assistant will<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Share the Parish Office duties<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Be a member of the St. Genevieve-St. Maurice PPC<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Attend Vicariate meetings<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Assist in the Worship and Education Commissions<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Be involved in our Christian Service<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Visit Nursing Homes<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Make funeral arrangements<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Conduct Wake Services<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Assist at funerals<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Lead Cemetery Services<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Assist in the RCIA program<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Teach religion<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Be ready to help in the unexpected daily events of this Parish\u2019s life<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>A list of a few of his duties.<\/h4>\n<h4>Deacon Breen and I are pleased that <strong>Brian J.
