Jesus fulfills the <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">words of the prophet Isaiah. Though Jesus is not <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">well received in his hometown. Like Jesus, young <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">people face rejection, especially in their <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">neighborhoods and classrooms. Our <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">Gospel <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">Weeklies <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">program explores the experiences of <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">being rejected and rejecting others. Very often <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">our own prejudgments of others cause us to <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">eject them easily; we exclude and dismiss others <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">whom we generalize about or assume we know. <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">Confronting their own prejudices helps children <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">discover more about themselves. On their own <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">level all the children will answer the question <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">\u201cFor what and for whom will I stand up?\u201d.
