Who: All are invited to the the solstice will be live streamed by the Archdioceses of Detroit and possibly by the National Tekkwitha conference.
WHY: Madonna is the birthplace of Native American ministry at the Archdiocese of Detroit from 1992. The Annual solstice blessing is a celebration of that story.
WHAT: The blessing will include: song, prayer to St. Kateri Tekawitha and Nicholas Black Elk, Servant of God, sacred incense, prayer in six directions and prayers of gratitude with the approaching summer.
We will gather in the courtyard of the Felician Motherhouse, 36600 Schoolcraft, Livonia, MI 48150 at 8:45 pm. (sunset is at 9:12 pm. and the Summer Solstice is at 11:32 pm.).
