The cloistered Dominican Nuns of Mt. Thabor in Ortonville, MI will welcome their new Chaplain, Fr. Knapp.
A cloister is a monastic community that willingly embraces the contemplative life and by so doing separate themselves from life in the world. The contemplative life is the way of life that seeks God by prayer and mortification—prayer and sacrifice for the world and for self.
As Chaplain, Fr. Knapp will provide the daily Sacramental and paraliturgical needs of these cloistered Dominican Sisters of Thabor who live the rule and the spirituality of St. Dominic. As part of this Archdiocesan assignment, Fr. Knapp will be available to provide Clergy help to the neighboring parishes.
