Faith Formation News

Our eighth-grade sacramental class attended 5 pm Mass on Saturday, November 14th for their Confirmation Rite of Enrollment. They received their Youth Study Bibles and committed themselves to continue learning about their faith in preparation for their Confirmation. Please keep these children as well as our First Communicants and Confirmation prep classes in your prayers.

In order to receive credit for this year’s Faith Formation classes (K-6) you should be turning in a weekly assessment online, OR an 8-week unit test, OR bringing in the completed magazines for each Sunday at the next pick-up event. If you are having any difficulties, please contact the Faith Formation office. The sacramental classes are face to face and receive instructions from their catechist.

Sunday, November 29th – 1st Sunday of Advent

On Sunday, November 29th change the cloth on your at-home prayer table to purple to reflect the first season of the Christian church year, and the time we wait and prepare for Christmas, including the four preceding Sundays. When you picked up your materials you found the items to make an Advent wreath along with a family Advent calendar.

Wednesday December 2nd – Second grade only face to face – 5:30 to 7 pm

Seventh and eighth graders look for assignments on the home email you provided your catechist.
