Notes from Pat

Dear St. Genevieve/Maurice Parishioners,

As more and more of you begin returning to church to celebrate Mass each week and we become less restrictive in terms of socially distant rules, so now we can also be able to somewhat increase numbers of parishioners who can sing and participate in the choir. With that goal in mind I am cordially inviting all of you who are interested in singing in our choir to please come forward and volunteer to join the Music Ministry program. There are no formal singing requirements and no auditions are held to qualify as a choir member. All you need is the willingness to attend one choir rehearsal per week and the desire to praise our God in song.

It’s also a great way to meet new people and make new friends.

All young adults (high school age and up) in the parish are invited to volunteer. We need your energy, talent and enthusiasm. Please come forward and bring your friends along. I plan to make choir time a Fun and enjoyable way to learn songs and to praise our Lord.

We have a very beautiful space in which to worship our Lord and Savior. The sounds from within ourselves add a whole other dimension to our prayer life. We need to share these sounds with each other and use our voices together in praising our God every time we gather here to worship.

Those of you who have been thinking about joining in, please come forward. Anyone who has never before thought about joining a choir, come and give it a try.
