Faith Formation News

Hello Families!

We will begin our first session of Faith Formation classes on September 20, 2023 at 5:30p in the Activities Center for a prayer service and an introduction to our catechists followed by a parent meeting. Registrations can be picked up in the gathering area or on our website.

Our faith journey with Jesus is a lifelong personal commitment. The Faith Formation program is very much like an academic school year program in that each year builds on the previous year’s learning. It is important to continue this faith journey each year from Kindergarten through Confirmation. Our First Eucharist and Confirmation programs are both two-year preparation programs.
“And these words which I command you this day shall be upon your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise.” (Deuteronomy 6:6-9)

Families are the central focus of formation at St. Genevieve-St. Maurice. Formed by our Eucharistic experience, St. Genevieve-St. Maurice Faith Formation offers a support system for families of all sizes and make-ups, and partners in fulfilling their promise to instruct themselves and their children in the faith of the Church. We believe that by focusing on forming families, we are building a stronger domestic church family, and ultimately, a stronger church community.
