Sodality News

Thanks to all who helped make the Bake Sale a success. It took several people to help set up, price items, sell on Sat. & Sun., clean up and of course, bake the delicious variety of items that were brought into the Activities Center. A special thanks also goes to Judi Fanco for chairing the sale.

Monday, November 4th is our next meeting. As usual doors open at 6:45 with the meeting starting at 7:00pm. This should be a busy meeting. Kathy will bring the wish list gift tags from which you can choose to purchase a Christmas gift for the residents of either Angel House or Opportunity House (the 2 group homes). These gifts will then be brought to our Dec. meeting to be distributed to the residents before Christmas. Small items for the group homes Christmas bags can also be brought to this meeting or dropped off in the Sodality drawer in the back of the Church. Items that the residents appreciate are personal care items, combs, ChapSticks, small flashlights, tissues, socks, jewelry, shampoo, crackers, pencils, note pads etc. There are 16 residents, 5 men and 11 women.

As discussed at our last meeting, we will also be doing a community service craft by making “Thankfulness Folders”. Bring scissors and any glue sticks you might have available.

The Advent Tea will be Sunday December 8th after the 11:00 Mass. Our speaker will be Katie Morasso Cavitt. Tickets are $15.00 and include lunch. A sign-up form will be available at our meeting and also in the bulletin.

The 5:00 Mass on Saturday, November 16th will be for the intention of deceased and current members. Please try to attend. Remember to say an extra prayer for your fellow Sodality members.

See you in Church,
Theresa
