In 2023, the Mother of Divine Love Family of Parishes, St. Genevieve – St. Maurice, Our Lady of Loretto, St. John XXIII and St. Valentine, began a planning process with our envisioning team, assisted by the Catholic Leadership Institute and the Archdiocese of Detroit’s Parish Care Department. Through prayer, reflection, and guidance of the Holy Spirit we developed a Vision and Mission Statement, along with priority goals focused on Engagement, Evangelization, Faith Formation, and Spiritual Growth.
These priority goals are the foundation which will lead us forward as a family of parishes. Our implementation team is responsible for achieving these objectives. This team will ask fellow parishioners to join them on this spiritual journey of our Church.
The initial meeting of the Mother of Divine Love Pastoral Council was held November 25, 2024. The council is advisory in nature and collaborates with the Moderator, Priests, and Mission Support Director. Contact our Mission Support Director, Pastoral council members or one of our team members if you are interested in volunteering or have questions.
VISION STATEMENT
“Guided by Mary, Mother of Divine Love, we will be a family of parishes woven together in our Catholic faith, proclaiming the Gospel to all. With flourishing ministries, engaged parishioners, and open doors, we will welcome and nurture new disciples.”
MISSION STATEMENT
“As a family of Roman Catholic parishes, our purpose is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, serving and inspiring others as we build a strong community of faith and deepen spiritual lives for the salvation of souls.”
