As the saying goes, “It takes a village to reach a particular goal”. In this case it holds true! Many of you who were able to attend the Tenebrae service expressed to me that it was a very beautiful and prayerful way to begin Holy Week. I am so grateful to hear these positive comments as this is what we had sincerely hoped and prayed would happen.
To the choir and musicians, I say “Bravo!” for giving such a splendid performance. It was a tremendous gift of their time and talents and the many hours of practice leading up to the date of this service. I must also thank those behind-the-scenes helpers like Mary Morrison and Barb Janeczko who spent much time and effort in putting together books of music, folding program booklets, gathering specialty items together to support the choir and so many other necessary jobs too numerous to mention. A very special thanks also goes out to Jim Biddinger for building the risers for the choir to stand on. He did an excellent job in making them safe, easy to assemble and position in place. I’m sure we can use them for many years to come. Chris Edmonds did a great job of narrating and Randall Janisch for the lighting. Likewise, I must thank all who took part in other ways…ushers, candle snuffers, setup and teardown crews, etc. You made my job so much easier, and I truly appreciate your help. Finally, last but not least, I give my heartfelt thanks to Fr. Tom for agreeing to present this very special musical version of Christ’s Passion & Death at this special time of the liturgical year.
Thank you, Fr. Tom!
May God Bless all of you. Have a very happy and blessed Easter.
Sincerely and gratefully,
Pat
