Grow as a Disciple
We hear in today’s Gospel that at the moment of Jesus’ baptism, a voice called from the heavens, saying, “This is my beloved Son,” together with a symbol of affirmation in the form of a dove. These words and symbols proclaim Jesus’ identity and mission. As disciples, we are called to grow in our relationship with Christ and to live out our baptismal promises. Sometimes we forget that being a disciple is not just about following rules but about forming a loving relationship with God and others. Let us remember that discipleship is a lifelong journey of learning, growing, and serving. How will you grow as a disciple this week?
Go Evangelize
The Gospel calls us to share the Good News with others. Evangelization is not just for priests or religious, but for all the baptized. We are called to witness to our faith in our words and actions, at home, at work, and in our community. Sometimes this means stepping out of our comfort zone and reaching out to those who may be searching for meaning or hope. Who can you share the love of Christ with this week?
Reflect
Take a moment to reflect on your own baptism and what it means for your life today. How does your baptism call you to grow as a disciple and to evangelize? What concrete steps can you take this week to live out your faith more fully?
