First of all, a big THANK YOU goes out to all the ladies who baked and filled the dessert tables at the Fish Fry dinners. Thanks to Judi Fanco for chairing, organizing and baking every week her famous Carrot Cake and thanks to all the workers no matter what your job was at the Fish Fry dinners. It was a big success because everyone chipped in and helped out. A special thanks to the Men’s Club members who put in many hours to make sure the food was delicious and that all went well. Happy Easter! It’s time to celebrate again on Monday April 6th at our meeting. Bring in your Easter leftovers to share and enjoy the flavors of our various cooks. It can be a dessert, a salad, a side dish or part of a main course. Whatever you have left over is perfect. Doors open at 6:30 with the meeting starting at 7:00pm. I think I just might skip dinner at home that day.
If you have a special sentimental item you would like to share, remember to bring it along to show us and tell the story behind it. Kathy is bringing in a special Christening gown, and I have something my mother made years ago that has always been special to my family. Looking forward to seeing what you may bring.
At this meeting we will have nominations for officers for next year. Also, if you are planning to go to the Angel Dinner in June, here is the information on it: Monday June 1st, Angelo Brothers Restaurant, 33550 Ford Rd (between Wayne & Merriman), $25.00/person cash only. Starts at 5:00 with dinner at 6:00. Joanne will be collecting the money at this meeting and next month. Remember to say an extra prayer for your fellow Sodality members.
